Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced general manager to take charge of day to day operations of a restaurant. This role will be tasked with order management duties, hiring and firing of staff, creating new ideas for menu, sales aspects - booking banquets, procurement of goods (food/drink/etc).

The General Manager leads the Club team by providing guidance, direction, and opportunity to ensure that every guest who chooses our restaurant leaves happy. The General Manager is responsible for the operational and financial success of restaurant.

Pay $45k and up DOE

- Ensure financial, operational and consistent sales growth through effective recruiting, training, coaching and mentoring. Cultivates loyalty within the team through rewards, recognition and communication
- Understands and utilizes labor and inventory management
- Develops and maintains a reputable relationship within the community
- Maintains and supports risk management, implements safety standards that apply to our program and overall team and guest safety and health.
- Evaluates management performance annually and supervises quarterly team member performance appraisals to ensure a high performing team
- Understands and analyzes the daily, weekly and monthly financial reports
- Ultimately responsible for all cash handling and accountability
- Provides timely and effective communication with team on business goals, marketing campaigns, new products, best practices and procedures by conducting regular meetings and providing postings and announcements
- Responsible for arranging all weekend entertainment
- Ensures and maintains preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment
- Maintains a high personal visibility throughout the restaurant and throughout the community

--Strong decision making skills with the ability to develop and sustain a high performing team
--Ability to build relationships and foster a positive and friendly environment
--Bachelor's degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
--Minimum of four years of hotel management or supervisory experience
--Knowledge of local competition and general industry trends
--Strong leadership and a professional image
--Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
--Excellent decision-making ability and analytical skills
--Knowledge and aptitude for use of a variety of computer software applications
--Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
--Stands for long periods of time without sitting; Walks fast paced during shifts; Bends, reaches and stoops
--Lift/carry 10 lbs or less constantly; Lift/carry 11-20 lbs frequently; Lift/carry 21-50 lbs occasionally; Lift/carry 51-100 lbs rarely
