Job Description

We have partnered with a full service landscaping architecture company seeking an experienced Bilingual Safety & Risk Manager to join their growing team. The Safety and Risk Manager will work to plan and coordinate safety/risk program by analyzing, updating and controlling work processes and supporting leadership with safety and risk awareness and tools. Responsibilities include however are not limited to the following:
??? Develop and implement safety and risk programs and policies for under-performing branches to improve metrics.
??? Support corporate and branch management to ensure consistent development, implementation and execution of safety and risk strategies.
??? Performs corporate safety and risk audits at each branch, including field safety reviews and DOT compliance.
??? Develops strategies for reducing collisions and injuries.
??? Analyzes safety metrics and trends to develop recommendations for solutions to improve results of key performance indicators.
??? Provide guidance and technical support for management and safety teams to ensure compliance with any applicable regulations or laws.
??? Serves as a point of contact for field management for inquiries, questions or needs related to internal safety, security, and loss prevention.
??? Review business operations and safety trends and make recommendations to reduce costs and manage risks.
??? Provide leadership and direction to the operating managers regarding collision or workers' compensation investigations, reporting processes, regulatory compliance and follow-up corrective action and preventive measures.
??? Conduct investigation of more serious work-related accidents or illnesses.
??? Manage any external audit process by a regulatory agency governing matters of employee occupational health, safety and security.
??? Develops and implements a program and system to track and evaluate worker injuries for analyses.
??? Maintains working knowledge of new developments in the industry and government regulations.
??? Will facilitate training for workers or train-the-trainers on issues related to health and safety
??? Review new claims filed for accuracy of information and update data as necessary
??? Assist with the documentation of claims processes and protocols
??? Help develop and keep current risk management protocols

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel with strong analytical and evaluation skills
- Quick learner with enthusiasm for managing responsibilities efficiently and effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong personal and professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Organized, with a sense of urgency and high standards for accuracy
- Familiarity with insurance, including loss control and claims management is a plus
- Capable of reviewing large sets of data connecting the dots to alleviate any gaps in reporting
- Ability to get a sense of data requirements for future report development
- Understanding of general management and project management principles
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn claims management and basic risk management principles
- Ability to network and effectively collaborate with internal and external claims/insurance industry and commercial operations
- Working knowledge of data management systems
- Problem solving skills (both quantitative and qualitative)


4-7 years

- At least 3 years' experience in a similar safety/risk role preferably in landscaping or construction
