Job Description

Our client is looking for an experience sales coordinator to represent and promote Santa Barbara as the preferred destination for group travel by providing strategic sales support from database management, process management and logistical planning and coordination of sales activities and events to ensure the sales team is operating at highest efficiency. Candidate will be responsible for supporting six sales managers.

Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will be responsible for the following tasks.
-Providing support for the Sales Department in solicitation of international and domestic leads for tour & travel, corporate, incentive, association, third-party market segments.
-Distributing leads according to sales territories and fielding inquiry calls with member referrals and service requests.
-Coordinating logistics for tradeshows, sales missions and client events including registration, ordering booth furnishings/decor, catering, travel arrangements and packing of materials.
-Assisting with in-depth research for sales managers, organizing trips and site visits for sales clients.
-Tracking and produces monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance reports utilizing sales? CRM database.
-Assisting other duties as assigned by Executive Director of Sales.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Our preferred candidate will posses the following.
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Experience in database management.
-Comfortable learning new technologies.
-Strong communication, editing, researching and fact-checking skills.
-Highly detailed analysis.
-Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects based on direction.
- Demonstrates diplomacy when interacting with visitors, clients, vendors and hospitality community.
-Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Willingness to be a collaborative, team player and work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following qualifications.
- Minimum of three year?s experience in sales, marketing, business or communications.
-General familiarity with Santa Barbara as a destination. Experience with destination marketing support is a plus.
-Knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat DC preferred.
-Travel and/or hospitality industry experience preferred.
-Must have a valid California Driver?s License and auto insurance.
-Must have use of vehicle for use while on Bureau business.
