Job Description

Are you looking for a new sales career in Defiance, OH? Spherion Staffing Services is NOW HIRING a Selling Branch Manager for our Defiance, OH Office! The Selling Branch Manager would be accountable for creating and implementing a successful sales and marketing strategy to meet/exceed sales/profit targets and for developing an effective staff to assist in achieving the branch's financial/operational goals. Salary will be commensurate based upon experience plus commission. 

Responsibilities include:
Sales/Business Development -
• Generating new business through outside sales activities such as cold calls, prospecting, telemarketing, territory planning and relationship building.
• Develop and implement an effective sales plan and an effective marketing strategy in order to increase sales and maximize profits by evaluating potential client base; developing new accounts and to increase revenue of existing accounts through telemarketing and outside sales activities.
• Maintain communication with established clients to ensure successful business development and to promote client and employee retention.
• Develop and implement and effective recruiting strategy to ensure the availability of qualified flexible/full time employees in order to meet current and anticipated needs.
• Utilize established marketing programs to increase sales and maximize profits.
• Maintain personal contact with prospects and assign sales call quotas to appropriate staff members and monitor success.
• Analyze reports and operating statements to determine if the marketing strategy is producing the desired result.
• Evaluate potential for expanding the client base and increasing revenue from existing accounts.
• Maintain personal contact with active clients to ensure they are satisfied with the quality of service they are receiving.
• Select candidates for positions based upon the established hiring criteria to maximize productivity and meet financial objectives.
• Ensure candidates complete the required training
• Responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the assigned markets.
• Responsible for outside public relations calls.
• Other duties as assigned by management to help support the growth.

Operational/Financial Management -
• Communicate and coordinate the various aspects of branch operations required to ensure compliance.
• Financial Management of branch operations.
• Implement, monitor and comply with company programs/initiatives.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all branch activities.
• Participate in local professional, business and civic organizations to enhance personal development and to promote company recognition.

Staff Management -
• Develop effective recruiting strategies to identify qualified candidates for internal staff positions.
• Develop a fully operational and qualified staff by hiring and training employees according to established client guidelines.
• Coach and counsel associates on behavioral and performance issues, documents and take corrective action as necessary.
• Conduct annual staff performance reviews and regular staff meetings.

Preferred Requirements -
• 4-year college degree or 3-5 years of sales/staffing experience
• Ability to analyze financial data to make sound business decisions.
• Strong leadership, managerial, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to perform business development and external sales activities.
• Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to maintain effectiveness during change.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work flexible/extended hours when necessary.
• Must be willing travel between Defiance and Napoleon, OH regularly
