General Summary:

Supervises and develops sanitation procedures of production machinery, facility, and equipment. The Sanitation Supervisor provides strong leadership to the Sanitation team to achieve full plant compliance with all personnel safety, food safety, sanitation/cleaning requirements pertaining to all federal, state and customer requirements and the Company's own food safety and manufacturing standards. They must meet or exceed guidelines as they pertain to the facility, equipment and industry standards for sanitation and SQF

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitors sanitation cleaning procedures.
- Maintains employees relations including hiring, training, and disciplining.
- Instructs and coaches employees to properly use protective equipment.
- Develops new sanitation procedures and protocol.
- Ensures proper safety procedures are used by sanitation employees.
- Trains all employees in good safety and health practices.
- Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Responsible for Food Safety
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
- Reading and comprehension abilities for proper use of chemicals
- Must be able to follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of national Food safety initiatives
- Strict compliance to all Dept. of Ag & Markets, SQF and AIB safety protocols and procedures.

Working hours: 3rd Shift

Job Specifications

Requires 2 years Sanitation experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Basic PC skills are required.

Working Conditions:

Food manufacturing plant.
The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range.
Frequent exposure to hazardous material and waste.
Frequent lifting, kneeling, and bending with items up to 80 lbs is required.
Repetitive hand, wrist and finger activities.
Production demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling.
Reports to Production Manager
