Job Description

We are currently recruiting for sanitation workers on 1st shift weekends. This position is primarily responsible to clean/sanitize the facility and production equipment according to the companies procedures. The position has a basic understanding of the equipment and equipment's function along with chemical application, awareness and can perform basic equipment breakdowns. Must be able to work in a team-based environment, set priorities to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and make decisions under pressure. 

Qualification

  • Previous manufacturing and/or food production experience
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent manual dexterity; strong physical endurance; ability to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Complete different tasks per the supervisors instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandate the the employer. 
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Report food safety issues to the Sanitation Supervisor.
  • Must be able to read and follow instruction for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the company.
  • Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure guidelines as they refer to proper cleaning and sanitation all equipment required for this position.
  • Ability to use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals and high pressure and low pressure water hoses.
  • Perform machine breakdown for cleaning purposes and disassemble and reassemble production equipment.
  • Manually clean equipment, rinse, foam, scrub and sanitize production equipment meeting company standards. 
  • Complete all sanitation documents and tools at the end of shift. 
  • Create and maintain POKA guides related to all production operations. 
  • Perform other duties assigned.
