Job Description

A Midland-area wooden laminate manufacturer is seeking Seasonal CNC Programmers to gain valuable experience with them over a busy summer production season. Hours would be either from 6:00am-4:30pm OR 4:00pm-2:30am Monday-Thursday, but overtime will start to pick up on Fridays, Saturdays, and even Sundays as peak production is reached. If a Sunday is worked, it is double-time if no time has been missed in the week leading up to it. This role is ideal for those who have recently completed training in the CNC field and are looking to gain experience in the work force. The estimated production season would start in March and wind down around Labor Day.


  • Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints.
  • Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
  • Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
  • Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
  • Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software.
  • Determines sequence of operations in a program.
  • Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.
  • Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
  • Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
  • Simplifies tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the client.
  • Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task.
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 3-2-2 schedule.

  • -Experience with programming.
  • Certification in CNC programming from accredited technical school.
