Job Description

The federal 21st Century Cures Act requires states to implement Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for Medicaid-covered personal care services by January 1, 2020, and home health services by January 1, 2023. EVV uses GPS or other technologies to verify that billed services were actually provided. We will be adding Contract/Consultants to work in tandem with the Division of Medicaid Services to assist with project implementation.

This position will act as the liaison and trainer of EVV project requirements, policies and procedures and other changes required of the program administrators, caregivers, and participants within the Family Care and IRIS programs. The specialist works closely with the BAPP section chief to develop communication, training and education materials. The position will identify, plan, coordinate and execute the necessary educational forums, training sessions and other collaboration needs with the program administrators, caregivers and participants. Additionally the position will work as a liaison between the program administrators and DHS project staff to ensure the necessary deliverables are implemented within the program administrators systems and business processes.

The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple duties and deadlines at the same time and respond to, and communicate about, changing priorities and due dates and to shift attention across assignments on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated computer and software skills required; proficiency with MS Office Suite and other software
- Knowledge of web-based applications and web publication tools
- Knowledge of distance technology tools and resources
