Our client, a business services company, has an opening for a Senior Compensation Analyst that is responsible for leading compensation initiatives. A successful candidate has experience in designing, developing and implementing compensation programs, practices and policies, monitoring trends and market data to support compensation programs and leads compensation related education and training activities.
Compensation Administration and Consultation
--Assists with strategy, planning and implementing compensation programs, policies and procedures
--Manages and reviews plan documents for accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
Coaching and Engagement
--Provides timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen compensation related knowledge/skills needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem
--Serves as an adviser and resource regarding compensation inquiries and activities
Performs internal and external market compensation analysis and job evaluations to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness; tracks, monitors and participates in applicable salary surveys;
--Assists in the development and maintenance of salary structures;
--Conducts special compensation studies for specific functional areas; analyzes market trends, compiles statistical reports
--Provides salary recommendations and appropriate placement of positions within established salary ranges;
--Consults with Talent Acquisition staff and hiring leadership to provide salary recommendations to internal and external candidates;
Training, Education and Tool Development
--Consults and advises HR representatives, leadership at all levels and employees providing timely and accurate responses to compensation related questions and issues
Special Projects and Initiatives
--Leads, participates and/or performs research and prepares materials for special projects
Working hours: Business Hours 8 am to 5 pm
--Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
--Initiates and leads verbal and written dialogue with area management in order to identify needs, makes recommendations and checks for understanding
--Ability to organize and prioritize workloads
--Research, evaluate/analyze and problem-solving skills with a structured approach
--Project management in overseeing assigned tasks
--High Attention to detail to provide high quality work
--Keyboard skills (typing,10key, alpha-numeric)
--Maintain professional telephone etiquette in a variety of call situations
--Flexible and adaptable team player
Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred degree in Human Resources, or Business degree.
Minimum of 3 years of HR/Customer Facing experience is required, of which 2 year'svof experience administering employee benefits programs or coordinating employee leave cases in human resources is required. (FMLA, STD, LTD) and worker's compensation claims is required; HR compensation experience is strongly preferred.
