Job Description

This manufacturing and engineering leader was founded 60 years ago by a visionary who started his dream in a garage. Their products are now distributed globally and they continue to expand into new markets.
We're seeking a type-A self-starter that has extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems and applications and can work on all product stages including R&D, design, manufacturing, installation, and final commissioning. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design and fabricate mechanical components and be skilled at balancing design and engineering disciplines.

This is a direct hire position where you will get to work in a newly remodeled building, receive hands-on training, and be part of team building activities.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Pay: $85k to $125K (based on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Perform a full life-cycle product development
- Design hydraulic systems and specify components for mobile hydraulic systems
- Create hydraulic schematics as required to document hydraulic systems
- Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results
- Test and evaluate theoretical designs
- Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
- Evaluate final product?s overall performance, reliability and safety
- Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
- Estimate budget and scope of project
- Solicit methods of use from field operators
- Develop good working relationships with vendors to optimize component cost and effectiveness
- Prepare product reports and documentation
- Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Operational knowledge of each machine or process involved in the department
- Schedule flexibility in order to complete projects in a timely manner
- Intermediate skill with 2D and 3D engineering design
- Intermediate skill with manufacturing tools (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) required
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, Simulation, or similar)
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView etc) preferred
- Solid understanding of core engineering concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
- Collaborating with all stakeholders of a project: from assembly technicians to engineers to purchasing agents
- Creativity and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Technical writing skills
- Manufacturing experience is preferred

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
- BSME required, Certified Fluid Power Specialist and/ or Professional Engineering License preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydraulic design (mobile hydraulics preferred)
