Job Description

Our client, a tier-1 automotive manufacturer in the Columbia area, is seeking a Senior Key Account Manager for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity. This role offers the opportunity to function as the primary Account Manager for some of the client's largest accounts.

- Plan, control and direct sales activities including strategic development, identification of sales potential for optimizing customer relations
- Manage Key Account by processing inquiries, compiling quotes and setting goals/targets as well as monitoring margins, expenditures, pricing, costing, profitability and service
- Communicate account status, wishes of customer, customer input within client organization
- Establish customer relationship management and serve as primary point of contact for Key Account through continuous communications with customers on program milestones, current issues, new technologies and long range planning
- Gather and review information during project preparation phase regarding project evaluation in order to support Program Manager in development of scope of work
- Develop business plans for assigned account(s) as well as providing monthly forecasting for material and production planning to meet corporate strategic plans
- Participate in the preparation of major quotations, service and maintenance programs, project implementation and implementation of strategic alliances with potential partners
- Participate in continuous improvement programs aimed at customer measurements and collaborate within the project management team
- Develop business plans for assigned accounts as well as providing monthly forecasting information to internal customers for assigned accounts
- Customer visits, handle contract negotiations

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function well under pressure, ability to negotiate and close
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technically inclined audience
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team


4-7 years

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
- At least 5 years' experience in account or program management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing
