Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Technician/Electrician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing as well as adjusting electrical equipment, sensors, controls, wiring systems, and industrial processing systems used in production, laboratory, office and utility spaces located within office, Lab, R&D, and GMP manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and expertise for all automated equipment, building infrastructure, systems, and controls to maintain efficient and reliable operation, including the completion of accurate and up-to-date GMP documentation.
- Responds to Shop Work Orders in performing maintenance and repair tasks safely.
- Willingness to learn and expand tradecraft skills.
- Perform work in accordance with practices, priorities and assignments as directed.
- Participate in the on-call program for emergency service.
- Analyze, diagnose and repair equipment documenting work as required by the Quality Management System.
- Self-perform all monitoring, repair, and maintenance on all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems and equipment or coordinate the services of contractors and/or the landlord.
- Conduct building inspections to assess the current operational condition, document findings, and take appropriate follow up action.
- Respond to critical alarms.
- React to loss of electrical power and other utility outages, as well as assist in restoration efforts following weather related events.
- Ensure contractor compliance with EHS policies and procedures, including hot work and lock out tag out.
- Ability to work independently.
- Uphold and role model safety procedures and safe practices.
- Recommend changes to equipment to improve safety, performance, and reliability.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP).**

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM


Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical rules and regulations as stipulated in the National Electrical Code and locate electrical codes.
- Current NFPA 70e certification training
- Experience in regulated environment, e.g., ISO 13485, FDA GMP, or USDA.
- Experience in repair and maintenance of automated equipment.
- Experience with ladder logic programming.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and customer service oriented.
- Proven ability for problem solving and trouble shooting.
- Knowledge of power distribution and motor control censors.
- Experience working with AC & DC variable speed motor controls and PLCs and Process Controls.
- Experience operating hand tools, small power tools, multi-meters and test equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals and troubleshooting problems to make adjustments and repairs.
- Experience working with voltages between 0-480 volts and structured wiring.
- Experience running and installing structured wiring.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 36 months, and have no unresolved revocation or suspension issues.
- 10+ years' experience in equipment maintenance or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Associates degree in electrical, mechanical maintenance or similar program.
- Possess a current and valid Wisconsin Master electrician license.
