Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager will be a key contributor in the Industrial Engineering Group. Primary focus will be on project engineering and management, and will also include design, research,
prototyping, product and process improvements, engineering documentation, and production equipment improvements. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring
project accuracy and quality, from conception to completion.

- Project management - schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all the technical activities
- Engineering design, research, and prototyping
- Product and process improvements
- Production equipment improvements/troubleshooting
- Engineering documentation
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
- Interact with vendors/suppliers: selection, interview, monitor progress, develop solutions, etc.
- Perform overall quality control of the work: budget, schedule, plans, and personnel's performance and report regularly on project status
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with customer and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

- Advanced MS Office skills
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
- Decision making ability and leadership skills
- Time management and organization skills


10+ years

- 10 years' experience Mechanical Engineering, project management, equipment design or related experience
- Glass related equipment, robotics, vacuum deposition / thin film deposition, or cleanroom experience
- Strong DFM (design for manufacturing) skills
- Well versed in material properties, compatibilities, and fabrication techniques
- Proven working experience as a project engineer
- Significant SolidWorks 3D CAD experience, AutoCAD experience
- Thermal design experience and FEA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
