Shipping/Receiving Specialist

Job Description

Our client is a Biotechnology Company headquartered in Madison WI, with branches throughout the world. They manufacture products for life science research, drug discovery, forensics, and diagnostics; and, they are currently producing materials that are being used in COVID-19 testing. Their products are used by life scientists who are asking fundamental questions about biological processes as well as by scientists who are applying scientific knowledge to diagnose and treat diseases. This position will ensure, safe and efficient recording, handling, and receiving of materials throughout our client's campus warehouses.

This position is also eligible for a $500 bi-weekly bonus!

Responsibilities:
- Receive, deliver and initiate transfer of materials between warehouses to ensure materials reach intended recipients on time.
- Maintain warehouse inventory records.
- Manage/maintain warehouses keeping them in a clean and orderly condition.
- Operate equipment proficiently and safely.
- Able to adjust to the changing needs and demands of the department as communicated by Supervisor.
- Understand and comply with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
- Participate in the annual physical inventory.
- Take on special assignments as requested.

Working hours: 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM

Skills:
- Self-directed individual, willing to work in a team-driven environment.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.

Education:
High School

Experience:
0-1 years

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work with a computer in an interactive manner for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse experience preferred
