Job Description

We are looking for Sidel Blowmold operators for one of our clients in the York area. These positions are direct hire (it is not a temporary position).

The primary function of this position is to set up, operate, maintain and adjust blow molding machinery. You may also be required to operate downstream equipment, including a palletizer.    

Operate and maintain Sidel blow molding machine. Hears alarms and responds quickly to adjust equipment to prevent unnecessary downtime. Analyzes forms for quality specifications.  Inspects finished product for blemishes, color and other defects. Rejects poor quality preforms and makes decision to shut down or adjust machinery. Performs a container cut and weighing test and records data. Prevents machine downtime. Monitors machines’ operations. Keeps machine stocked with raw material. Troubleshoots machinery when product quality deficiencies appear or when machinery otherwise malfunctions. Assist maintenance personnel in performing PM as instructed. Performs scheduled maintenance checks on assigned equipment. Discusses problems with supervisor, maintenance, quality control personnel and other operators. Maintains process logs and associated shift paperwork. Assists in creating the orderly flow of both raw materials and finished goods. Arranges the gaylords, totes and bins of pre-forms, waste and scrap, etc. to ensure the smooth flow of production. Follows all safety rules and requirements. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, picking up debris, etc. to keep area neat and safe. Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

The machine operator’s would train on 1st shift then move to their determine shift.More than likely the shift will be either 2nd, 3rd or 12 hr night shift (7p-7a).

Minimum of 2 years experience in plastics and/or manufacturing environment. Prior blow-molding experience strongly preferred. Must be able to read, write, and perform complex mathematical computations including the use of fractions and decimals. Must maintain acceptable attendance and work records. High School or GED Equivalent Ability to work an off-shift, and OT as required
