Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented verification Engineer to test and verify power management devices within the Solid-State Drive (SSD) products. This position requires experience in testing Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMIC) or equivalent using system level PCB designs and utilizing the available test and measurement equipment. The verification Engineer will need to be able to read and understand component PMIC specs and take general direction from engineering lead and associated test plans. The candidate will need to generate and document the detailed test procedures with a clear understanding of the test environment provided and the equipment on hand to carry out the verification testing. The verification Engineer will carry out the actual testing and record the results for each tested area of the design. The verification Engineer will need to review the results real-time with the engineering team until the project it completed with all tests completed and documented.

Responsibilities:
Develop Test Plan procedures and Final Reports for all PMIC testing.
Operate all equipment for verification testing. Scopes, Meters, Power Supplies, SMU, Data Loggers,
Electronic Loads and Thermal equipment (Thermocouples and Thermal Chamber or equivalent).
Perform all verification measurements required. For example, but not limited to ???Rise Time, Fall Time, Hold Time, Power Sequencing and Power measurements???.
Read and understand Schematic Circuits and PCB Layout designs. (PDF and PCB Viewers)
Use of Automation with Test Equipment where efficiencies can be gained.
Bring up and maintenance of Lab PC Hosts and SSD (PCIe or SATA) DUTs used for verification of PMIC. Including vendor provided PMIC evaluation boards and GUI for PMIC testing.
Perform soldering of fine pitch probes and components required for testing.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Highly experienced with measurement tools in a lab environment.
Highly experienced in probing of IC and PCBs for verification measurements.
Ability to use advanced features of measurement tools and/or automation is a plus
Ability to read and understand Schematic and Layout Designs for verification testing
Experienced in data collection and data analysis processing.
Experienced with Microsoft Office Tools for Documentation.
Self-motivated. Desire to take on challenges. Result-driven and details oriented.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
Develops solutions to complex technical problems, which require ingenuity and creativity.

Associate

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
AS in Electronic Technology or Equivalent
5+ years of relevant design experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
Excellent problem solving skills
