Staff Accountant

Job Description

Spherion Staffing is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a local nonprofit company. This position will assist with day-to-day accounting and reconciliation functions.

Salary $50-60k/year DOE
Direct Hire Opportunity

Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions
- Reconcile:
*Monthly bank statements
*Biweekly employee payroll information
*Federal and state payroll reports (941s, 1099s, W-2s, etc.)
*Periodic investment management reports and monthly accounts receivable and accounts payable reports to general ledger

- Prepare monthly grant payments
- Maintain fixed asset records
- Assist with the annual audit including preparing audit support schedules
- Assist with the annual budget process
- Assist with annual Federal Form 990 tax return preparation and related schedules and filings
- Provide accounting and financial management services for company's nonprofit partners under service contracts

Skills:
Requirements:
-Bachelor degree in accounting required
-Two years or more of accounting experience
-Microsoft Dynamics GP experience a plus
