Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking for a Systems Network Administrator to provide support of enterprise business systems utilizing personal computers and/or networks to support all or part of the system. This position will also provide technical expertise and support of personal computer, wide area network (WANs), and local area network (LANs) hardware, IOS cell phone/tablets, phone system and software. The Business Systems Network Specialist will deliver technical support to the principal locations: (a) local Service Center and (b) Corporate Office and (c) various Distribution Centers.

This position also requires participation in an after-hours, weekend and holiday on-call program to assure network availability, connectivity and support are afforded the user communities that function in a 24/7 work environment.

Salary: $65-75k/year DOE

- Provide support for personal computers, network systems and programs that interface with enterprise-supported systems
- Maintain users and user groups in front-end authentication platforms
- Test and install new software and micro-computer hardware
- Support in-house and purchased systems indirectly through support of systems networks, operating systems, and hardware
- Provide system and program support to users on network systems. Assists in the designs of cabling layouts, oversees installation by service partners, and works with the Network Administrator to ensure network cabling is proper and compliant at all sites
- Provide technical problem solving support to sites throughout the year
- Manage network service availability and usage levels by (a) evaluating and planning complex network systems, (b) making resource recommendations, (c) providing seasoned, technical analysis and support throughout the planning, design, engineering and implementation facets and (d) establishing, writing and enforcing technical standards to support the usage of said networks
- Help develop, implement and maintain best-practice server-data back strategies that fully support the disaster recovery expectations of the Enterprise

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

-Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
-Minimum of one year of related work experience, preferably 3-5 years of experience
-Requires knowledge of personal computers, the purpose of and relationship between Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANS), wireless networks and technical knowledge of IOS, SUSE Linux, Windows, and VMWare
-Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization are critical
