Job Description

An established Asheville manufacturing company committed to providing state of the art products is looking for a Tooling Operations Manager!

Responsibilities:
-Motivate, instruct and assist employees to achieve optimum and safe productivity while developing advanced skills
-Educate and develop personnel in classes and in-house training
-Interview, select and train personnel for departmental staffing needs
-Diagnose and correct deficiencies in manufacturing tooling processes
-Audit PM program for tooling including spare part inventory
-Support production on tooling related problems in a timely manner
-Provide standardized work for tool repair and enforce compliance
-Support production on tooling related problems in a timely fashion
-Implement procedures and work instructions to support the company's quality system
-Identify problems and recommend improvements to tooling to Engineering
-Engage in the design of new tooling with Engineering
-Plan and manage work schedules for shops and associates
-Establish and enforce operating procedures and work standards to ensure adequate performance and personnel safety

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
-Minimum 5 years Injection Molding Tooling experience within a plastic injection molding environment
-Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role
-Knowledge of injection molding materials, processes and equipment
-Proficient with MS Office Suites
-Professional demeanor
-Previous experience as a Journeyman toolmaker or Engineer
-Ability to analyze and work from blueprints and customer drawings
-Familiar with the use of measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gages, etc.
