Job Description

The Utilities and Facilities Engineer is responsible for the design, installation and operation of supporting utilities and facilities in a world class alcohol beverage manufacturing facility. The supporting utility systems include process water, chilled water, waste water, steam, compressed gases (N2, Air) and electrical power. Facilities include structural, lighting, HVAC and racking system installations and modifications. In this role, the Utilities/Facilities Engineer will be accountable for the installation and operation of systems that provide uninterrupted delivery of utilities to beverage manufacturing systems throughout the site. This role will also be responsible for Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) of energy usage and waste streams optimization.

Capital Project Management
- Oversee the design, execution and successful close-out of utility-related capital construction projects.
- Develop, manage, and track project timelines and project capital budgets.
Facilities Engineering
- Lead facility-related modifications including office space construction, specialized manufacturing spaces and building-related manufacturing system mods.
Utilities Engineering
- Perform and manage technical work on water and wastewater system modeling and planning studies.
- Evaluate water system quality. Analyze historical demands/flows and prepare future demand/flow projections, pumping and storage capacity analyses.
- Coordinate implementation of assigned construction projects; monitoring progress, analyzing problems, recognizing solutions, and reviewing recommendations by consultants.
- Work in close coordination with EH&S team to insure site compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies i.e., OSHA, state, county and federal permitting agencies, EPA, Air Pollution Control, etc.
- Review engineering calculations; analyzes materials and data.
- Prepare engineering reports and recommendations for presentation to superiors.
- Perform system analyses and calculations with software tools and develop concise reports to document results.
- Review, or coordinate the review of development plans, specifications and related applications for compliance with applicable engineering codes, ordinances and regulations.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil).
- 8+ years of plant utility design experience with complex manufacturing systems, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience with management of subcontractors, scheduling, and outside engineering resolving, and negotiating skills.
-High degree of motivation, customer-focus, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Demonstrated ability to lead and foster a team environment - collaborative style of management and engagement with others.
-Ability to collaborate with others, be punctual, and follow instructions.
-Courage to constructively address performance issues in a timely manner.
