Job Description
Currently seeking a video specialist to provide creative vision, shoot, and edit instructional videos. CS First creates instructional content for students in grades 4 - 12. The videos use a mixture of talking heads and screencasts to guide students through building projects using MIT's block based programming language Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/). Applied Digital Skills creates instructional content for learners in 7th-12th as well as adult learners in continuing education settings. These videos teach life skills such as budgeting while also teaching digital skills.
Key Responsibilities:
-Produce 90 hours of video content in less than six months (very fast turnaround).
-Manage process of video creation, from creating a vision, to producing, to editing the videos
-Shoot videos for the education videos and screencasts.
- Edit videos used to teach students CS and digital skill concepts by editing together b-roll shots, using keying, finding usable outside third-party footage, and using other video effects
- Revise existing videos when new content is added or taken away

Working hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Skills:
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in video arts or equivalent industry experience
- 1-2 Years of experience of video editing
- Proven experience shooting and editing videos on extremely tight deadlines (e.g. completion of 30 minutes of final video content in 40 hours of work)
- Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Screenflow
- Excellent knowledge of video processes and best practices

Nice to have skills/Not required:
- Experience creating educational content
- Knowledge of coding using Scratch
- Ability to direct actors
