Warehouse Shipping/Receiving Associate

Job Description

Spherion Staffing has a Shipping/Receiving Associate position available for a local client. This position will support the Warehouse team with shipping and receiving responsibilities. Qualified candidates must have prior warehouse and forklift experience.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm currently and 6am-6pm in peak season. Half day Saturdays (6am-12pm) as needed

Pay $15-18/hour DOE

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the effective processing of shipments to customers. This includes picking stock for orders and following specific order, packaging and shipping instructions
- Verify incoming product to the accompanying paperwork and picking orders
- Unloading and Loading trucks
- Put away stock in appropriate locations by wrapping and strapping pallets
- Use warehouse equipment, including forklift, label making devices, and barcode scanners

Skills:
Requirements:
-High School diploma or GED
-Prior warehouse and forklift experience is required
-Able to work on a small team and exhibits self-initiative
-Able to lift 50# on a frequent basis
-Can withstand cold storage environment for duration of shifts
-Exhibits strong visual accuracy
-Safety glasses are required
-Pre-employment Drug and Criminal Background
