Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking for qualified warehouse specialists to work in a growing manufacturing plant. Purpose is to maintain quality standards in the warehouse by sustaining a safe and hygienic environment, while optimizing the facility's spatial characteristics with regard to efficiency and effectiveness. Must be able to operate a forklift and have experience operating one in the last 18 months for at least a 6 month time frame.

Warehouse organization
Accurate inventory management
Monitoring the cleanliness of the warehouse
Assigning trucks and cargos to loading bays
Powered industrial truck management, including organization, maintenance, and training
Order picking and management of truck loading
Training of warehouse staff
Filling in for other warehouse personnel, when necessary
Receipt and inspection of all incoming materials
Optimize storage locations
Supply the production line with raw materials and auxiliary materials
Process and distribute documentation, including purchase orders
Report, document, and track damages and discrepancies of orders received
Load and unload trucks via lift trucks, pallet jacks, clamp attachments and stacking pallets
Processing items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures
Assuring accurate verification of all counts, quantities, and descriptions of productions and
materials shipped and received
Maintain a safe working environment, and assure departmental compliance with safety policies
Store finished goods, raw materials, supplies, and spare parts

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Basic mathematical skills
Extensive experience operating a powered industrial truck, required
Expertise in ERP/MES/SAP system, preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and SAP, preferred
Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA standards
Able to work independently and in a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, thorough, and precise in conducting tasks
Willing and able to obtain additional qualifications and training
Willingness to learn and be coachable, concerning all job responsibilities
Experience operating a Powered Industrial Truck, Scissor Lift, and/or Boom Lift, preferred
Able to read and understand labels
Flexible, dependable, able to cope with stress, and endure high workloads

High School

1-4 years

High school diploma or equvilant
Experience operating a forklift within the last 1.5 years for at least a 6 month time frame
Experience working in a manufacturing setting, specifically with non woven machinery or products
