Job Description

A Midland manufacturer is seeking Welders to join their team to due to a heightened production schedule. Ideal candidates will be well-versed in MIG welding with knowledge of TIG welding as a plus. This position starts out at $13/hr but will lead to a hire on with the client after a 90-day probationary period. Employees must be able to demonstrate a positive attendance record as well as excellent quality of work in order to be hired. A pay increase and medical benefits are offered after a hire.


  • Inspect piece work for quality and prepare for welds by making sure all tools are accounted for
  • Read and interpret job orders and blueprints to comprehend nature of welds required for each task
  • Perform quality MIG welds on piece work in an efficient and timely manner and inspect upon completion for quality purposes
  • Move materials around as needed and directed by team leaders
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors when any concerns arise involving work pieces or time tables
  • Demonstrate strict adherence to a safety mentality that is at the forefront of the company
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station


  • Ability to perform quality MIG and TIG (less frequently) welds in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/ or work orders with utmost attention to detail
  • Communication skills (verbal and written as needed)
  • Ability to remain on feet for 10+ hour shifts with regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 50Lbs


  • Relevant work experience performing MIG adn TIG welds consistently for a minimum of 1 year OR successful completion of a Welding program with an area school specializing in MIG and other welding types.

Working hours:

6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday, with overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays as production needs dictate

High School Diploma or GED is recommended 

1-4 years OR recent accredidation from a Welding course program
