Employees will set up and operate a variety of machines in order to produce materials, may deliver raw material and intermediates to production sites and/or keep departments clean and orderly. Assists in a variety of routine duties in the operation and preparation of equipment and materials.There is a shift differential for working 2nd and 3rd shifts. 1st shift: $17/hr, 2nd Shift: $18/hr, 3rd shift: $18.50/hrResponsibilities:- Performs routine tasks such as cleaning, weighing, and setup of systems for operation, packaging, and in-process testing.- Learns and adheres to safety rules for the work area as it pertains to handling chemicals and equipment.- May operate forklift.- Assembles and delivers materials and supplies.- Works from manufacturing procedures and written and verbal instructions.- May perform simple manufacturing or machine operations.- Keeps facility clean and supplies stocked.- May be required to wear special garments in controlled manufacturing environments that include synthetic material coveralls, beard covers, bouffant caps, booties and/or powder free vinyl gloves.- Must be regular and punctual in attendance- Responsible for maintaining quality within the scope of the job description.Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)Skills:- Computer literate (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word) preferred;- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.- Good math aptitude.- Previous experience in a manufacturing atmosphere is preferred- May have to pass forklift certification.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred;- one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
