2nd shift production supervisor.

Our client is a leader in the Specialty Cheese Industry with a focus on sustainable manufacturing processes and giving back to their local communities. This local cheese manufacturer has European (Switzerland) roots dating back to the 1800s and has had multiple plants & offices in Wisconsin for many years. Their cheesemakers and crew take pride in the product, only providing the best cheeses from Wisconsin with more than 200 awards to prove it. The Monroe facility has about 150-175 employees total. The 2nd shift Production Supervisor will oversee the cheese production side of the operation and directly manage the 15-20 team members on the shift. We are seeking a production supervisor/lead with experience working in food manufacturing and familiarity with the regulations of the industry. What you will be doing: 

• Oversees all production and sanitation activities during assigned shift Ensures operational adherence to the production planning schedule
• Monitors and tracks departmental KPI's and takes appropriate action to achieve production goals.
• Executes corrective action to address production downtime.
• Responsible for employee performance management and development
• Leads and promotes programs to support a proactive safety culture
• Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other food safety guidelines

What we are looking for: 

• Proven leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals and instructions
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
• Proficient with ERP systems, MicroSoft Office, JD Edwards
• Familiarity with ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)
