-Support month-end financial reporting process by classifying, preparing, analyzing, and posting accounting transactions and financial reports-Research, reconcile, and report discrepancies-Prepare financial and regulatory reports that are accurate, complete, and conform to reporting and procedural standards-Facilitate the completion of commodity settlements-Monitor and analyze accounts receivable balances, prepares management reports, and performs collection calls-Compute excise taxes, completes tax returns and other compliance documents-Facilitate the capture of business transactions, processes invoices, and verifies financial information necessary to pay the obligations of the organization-Assist with fixed assets system and associated depreciation schedules-Advise other departments on company accounting standards and coding to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions-Maintain accounting controls by preparing & recommending policies/procedures to ensure the safety of sensitive/confidential company information-Process company disbursements and payments to ensure accurate and timely invoice payment-Set up and process bank transfers in accordance with procedures-Responsible for recording cash receipts and making deposits in a timely manner-Reconcile bank account balances with the general ledger-Assist with the administration of accounting systems including supporting activities related to optimization, implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting-Maintain and adhere to company and departmental procedures and policies
