accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll and other components of the general ledger. Reporting assignments will include the compilation of financial information consistent with an understanding of governmental accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), applicable regulations, and Authority policies and procedures in the form of account analyses, analyses of revenues and expenses, bank reconciliation's, tax reporting, account registers, and other financial data schedules. It is distinguished from the Senior Accountant classification in that incumbents work within a framework of standard policies and procedures to perform basic, but detailed accounting assignments that are routine in nature. Work at this level is routine and the incumbent is fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the Department, but will receive instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine accounting functions for the company???s entity-wide financial operations
Compile, examine, and verify accounting documents and financial data to establish and maintain accurate detailed financial records, reports, and statements
Adhere to established schedules; maintain special reports relating to the progress of assigned tasks or areas; ensure the timeliness of accounting and reporting deadlines
Work with employees or vendors to resolve problems, identify incorrect payments, and make the necessary adjustments
Research information using computer system and/or records and provide information to internal or external customers
Create and maintain electronic files for data storage of all required documents
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and applicable pronouncements prescribed by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).

Associate
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or similar; Bachelor's preferred
