This is an opportunity to join a local HVAC equipment company that is growing rapidly and looking to add to their team. They are currently managing their 3-person accounting team with the controller & HR/Benefits manager, but they are looking to find someone to manage the day to day accounting functions. The Accounting Manager will have 3 direct reports and be responsible for managing the day to day, as well as assisting with projects. For example, they will be changing accounting systems in the coming years and this person will be very active in that project. If you have a background in accounting & leadership, ideally within a manufacturing or similar setting, you are what we are looking for! What you will be doing: 

• Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy.
• File monthly Sales and Use Tax reports for multiple states.
• Prepare quarterly financial reports and process payments for a related joint venture.
• Prepare annual financial statements and process distributions for 2 real estate partnerships.
• Preparation of annual 1099s, personal property tax returns, etc.

What we are looking for: 

• Experience using various accounting software packages including knowledge of report writing.
• CPA is a plus:
• Associates Degree required - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or another related field preferred
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
