Responsible for all segments of the general accounting function, either directly or through subordinates. Activities include maintaining of general and subsidiary ledgers, preparing operating; financial statements, overseeing banking, cash activity. Other activities include fixed asset control; depreciation, accruals to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports and payables. Maintain accurate records of earnings, profits, cash balance and other financial results. Oversee audit activities and SOX controls. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training and maintaining excellent employee relations.
