Local Manufacturing Company is seeking an Experienced Accounting Clerk to join their fast paced team. This person will be responsible for compiling, classifying, recording, verifying, and maintaining data, documents and payments to accounts payable and receivable records.Responsibilities:-Reviews and posts receipts and payments to appropriate ledgers, spreadsheets, records, and databases.-Prepares, sorts, copies, files, and mails invoices, receipts, checks, correspondence, and other requested items.-Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment.-Assists with on-line payments.-Ensure documents are filed or scanned to appropriate physical and/or on-line file locations or required areas.-Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.-Researches and processes charge backs, returns, refunds, freight charges, cost of lost or damaged goods, bad checks, and similar items.-Answers accounts payable and receivable inquiries and follows up.-Audits freight bills against freight manifests.-Prepares analysis and summaries of accounts.-Prepares invoices for daily shipments.-Assist in monthly and annual closings.-Assists with appropriate documentation for Contractors.-Coordinates with Sales and Shipping for accuracy.-Performs as the backup for the Administrative Assistant position at the front desk.
