We are looking for an outgoing and bubbly individual to join our client at their Saint Paul location as an activities and wellness director. Primary role is to plan, organize, and oversee programs and activities that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals. Position will be trained as a PCA to be able to help transfer residents to and from the activities area first and foremost.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop a variety of wellness and recreational programs tailored to the needs and interests of the target population, which may include senior citizens, students, patients, or community members.
- Develop and manage budgets for activities and wellness programs, including allocating funds for staff, supplies, equipment, and events.
- Organize and coordinate events, outings, and activities that align with the organization's goals and the well-being of participants. This can include exercise classes, cultural events, field trips, and more.
- Promote health and wellness through educational workshops, classes, and resources that focus on nutrition, fitness, mental health, and overall well-being.
- Ensure that all activities and programs adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. This includes making sure that equipment and facilities are in good condition and conducting safety checks.
- Communicate with participants, their families, and staff to keep them informed about upcoming activities, changes in schedules, and important updates.
- Be flexible and adaptable in response to the changing needs and interests of participants, and to address any unexpected challenges or emergencies.
- Collaborate with other professionals, organizations, and agencies in the field to enhance the offerings and resources available to participants.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
- Previous experience working as a PCA/caregiver is a plus
- Previous activities or experience working with the elderly population, must love working with elderly people
- The preferred candidate should be outgoing and have a bubbly personality to engage with residents
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple projects at one time and maintain professionalism

- Ability to speak or understand both: English/Hmong
- Must be able to get the Food Protection Manager License (easy test, class & test will be paid for)
