Local Manufacturing Company is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join their fast paced team. A considerable amount of responsibility will be answering inquiries and providing information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other parties regarding activities conducted at our Company. The additional elements to this role will be to assist the Human Resources Department with process administration, maintaining personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and file maintenance. This is an excellent role for someone who is interested in starting their career in the Human Resources field. This is an entry level position.:Responsibilities:Receptionist Duties:-Greet vendors and guests entering our establishment while representing the company in the utmost friendly, professional manner, have them sign in at the front-desk and escort them to their destination if necessary. -Answer, screen, and direct all incoming phone calls to the establishment, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments. -Schedule space or equipment for special programs and prepare lists of participants/attendees. -Research information/perform special projects for all departments in need of assistance. -Additional duties assigned as requested/needed. Human Resources Assistant Duties: -Work directly on the creation, implementation and audit of training requirements for entire company. -Oversee and direct Drug Testing policy and quarterly testing. -Create, edit and update, with supervisor input, Job descriptions for all employees. -Maintain Strengths Finder reports and provide input to supervisors on employee testing. -Complete monthly audits of electronic HRIS to ensure data integrity. -Responsible to be a Subject Matter Expert in company electronic HRIS. -Work on State of Montana or Federal grants related to job training / retention. -Hiring Process: Provide backup responsibilities to recruit prospective applicants via posting job openings to our website, us.jobs, Indeed, job fairs, etc. Assist Human Resources in screening resumes, cover letters, applications, scheduling interviews & pre-employment drug screenings, create new employee badges, and prepare/conduct the beginning of the boarding process for new employees. -Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. -Update/manage the Company's Employee Handbook: Update regularly to stay in compliance with State and Federal law by adding/removing necessary or unnecessary information. -Additional duties assigned as requested/needed.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:-Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. -Knowledge of providing customer and personal services.
