Our healthcare client is currently seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist. In this role, you will verify insurance coverage for patients and referrals, as well as calculate benefits and patient monetary responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Verify insurance information for patients and referrals

Responsible for updating insurance information for existing patients
Determines patient co-payments and calculates co-insurance and deductibles for both facility and other services.
Call to obtain pre-authorization for recommended services and procedures
Explain to patients what their financial responsibilities will be
Inform relevant clinical staff about denials
Answer questions related to billing and insurance
Meet productivity goals
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
CPT & ICD10 coverage
Medical billing, coding, and collections experience is a plus
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Insurance verification experience is required
Patient medical terminology
Insurance calculations of patient responsibility experience is required
