Read drawings for design, dimensions, and tolerances. Follow manufacturing, materials, and accounting record keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information. Tasks in assembly process of units typically include: a. Level base frames. b. Fasten sheet metal onto base frames using mechanical fastener. c. Use drawings to accurately position unit components (heater, fan, etc.) onto base frame. d. Assemble remainder of structural components (dampers, walls, roof, drip edge, doors, etc.) ensuring safety and quality. Perform mathematical calculations involving addition and subtraction of dimensions represented decimally or in fractions. Read drawings for design, dimensions, and tolerances. Keep Supervisor informed of problems, opportunities for improvement, questions, or comments, related to topics such as workflow, equipment, procedures/work methods, safety, and employees. Recommend changes where appropriate. Adhere to Assembly, Materials, and record-keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information. Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Assist in implementation of changes in methods or procedures. Accurately track work hours by job and activity on timecard. Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned or when required by customer needs.

High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.Shop courses or equivalent experience is helpful.Some experience assembling HVAC equipment is desirable.
Three years work experience including use of small hand tools in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Mechanical ability and aptitude sufficient to learn how to assemble units properly and efficiently. Knowledgeable in the proper and safe use of mechanical tools, wrenches, levels, and light power tools. Perform mathematical calculations involving addition and subtraction of dimensions using decimals and/or fractions. Read drawings and interpret dimensions and tolerances. Use a tape measure to properly measure lengths of materials. Able to work independently; be a good role model to others and communications skills necessary to work with others within and outside the team.
