Local Manufacturing company is seeking a FT General Assembler to work on their full build side., This person will be operating hand tools, machining equipment and utilizing finishing material (sandpaper, etc.) to perform assembly and finishing work on gun components (primarily gun stocks) including final primer/paint.Responsibilities:-Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions.-Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.-Operates machines and equipment other than machine tools.-Grinds, sands, cleans, or polishes objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools. Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure standards are met. -Trims, scrapes, or deburrs objects or parts, using chisels, scrapers, and other hand tools and equipment. -Fills cracks or imperfections using appropriate compounds.-Applies special finishes for color and to prevent corrosion.-Record product and processing data and information on specified forms. -Set up and operates metalworking machines to cut, shape, and fit parts to machine various parts of a firearm.-Ensure that firearm is assembled to specifications and meets quality guidelines.-Performs painting processes to required components.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:-Demonstrated ability to utilize power and hand tools, including, but not limited to: drills, lathes, mills, grinders, sanders, or other wood and metalworking tools. -Proven ability to complete tasks in a precise and accurate manner.-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisorsEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:-High school diploma or equivalent required.
