We are actively seeking a Finance Director for our Client in Duluth, MN. This is a Full Time Permanent Position. The Finance Director is responsible for the overall financial affairs of the organization. Major activities include budget development and management, financial management, fiscal control, financial analyses and sound financial planning.Responsibilities:-Work with the executive team to develop and execute business plans, strategies and tactics. -Responsible for all accounting procedures and financial policies.-Develop and manage annual budgets with appropriate staff leaders, CEO and Board Finance & Facilities Committee.-Prepare monthly financial reports for review by the CEO and Board of Directors.-Prepare financial analyses, forecasts and reports as requested to support program and general operations. -Effectively manage accounts receivable and payable.-Manage cash flow and cash flow planning.-Facilitate annual audit and coordinate report to the Board of Directors.-Assist with and prepare documents for the CPA firm's completion of the annual 990.-Oversee financial aspects of gifts, grants and other sources of non-operating income.-Manage the annual insurance renewals and oversee all contracts for the organization. -File all state and federal reports and documents in a timely manner, e.g. federal and state tax returns, grant reports, school lunch report, and Title IV-E reports.-Maintain effective oversight of the organization's financial investments with investment managers and Board Finance & Facilities Committee.-Provide fiscal leadership and appropriate direction on all major facility projects.-Provide effective supervision to staff. -Other duties as assigned.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:- Thorough knowledge of nonprofit accounting policies and procedures. - Excellent financial management and analysis skills.- Ability to effectively supervise and manage employees.- Strong working knowledge of GAAP- Expert ability to adapt business software and systems, as needed, to: - Ensure the efficient execution of all business functions.- Generate accurate and timely reports and metrics. - Alert management to urgent issues and important trends.- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, business partners, staff and the Board of Directors.Education:BachelorsExperience:7-10 yearsQualifications:-Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience. -CPA preferred but not required.-Supervisory experience in accounting and background with Non-Profit management.-Proficeint in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.-Mastery of Great Plains/MS Dynamics and MS Excel strongly preferred.
