We are seeking a Bookkeeper to manage payroll, bookkeeping, invoicing, tax payments, and month-end reconciliations for a construction-based manufacturing company in Midland County. The Bookkeeper also serves as the first point of contact for the company, handling walk-ins and phone calls, so excellent customer service skills are required. As we experience our peak season from spring through fall, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to support our financial operations. Training would take place on a part-time basis for several weeks until it becomes full-time and ongoing. This is NOT a seasonal position, as Bookkeeper will be needed for year-round, but business itself does experience seasonal volumes. Compensation is $16-20/hr depending on experience and hours of business operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with no evenings, weekends, or Holidays. This is a temp-hire opportunity once the candidate has demonstrated their reliability and quality of work.

- Process payroll accurately and on time.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks, including tracking accounts payable and receivable.
- Generate invoices and follow up on payments.
- File and pay taxes in a timely manner.
- Complete month-end financial reconciliations.
- Enter financial data into QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets.
- Greet visitors and answer phone calls, directing inquiries as needed.
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as required.
Skills:
- Prior experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience in payroll, bookkeeping, and tax preparation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a busy environment.
