Business Unit Manager
The Business unit manager responsibility is to shape and develop a multiple year business plan for the site. Based on the overall strategy the business unit manager will ensure an effective translation into an operational and commercial strategy, which subsequently is to be detailed in year plans and targets for the site. Leading by example means the business unit manager will be a role model and guardian of company values as set out in the mission and vision of the company. As leader of the site the business unit manager will continuously optimize, develop and lead the site organization.

Responsibilities:
The business unit manager will report directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for:
Defining and implementing the mission/vision and strategic plan for the site, with input from the local management team and within the framework as provided by the MD of BGU.
Translate this strategic plan into yearly operational and commercial plans and targets,
Act as a role model and guardian towards the company values and culture as defined in the mission and vision.
Lead the management team.
Continuously develop and optimize the organization.
Develop and maintain a risk conscious environment which is capable of effectively managing risks.
Assure the site complies with all state and federal legal requirements.
Define relevant quality standards and assure an effective quality management system is in place to supervise and maintain the relevant standards.
Install and maintain an effective incident management system and organization in order to effectively manage incidents.
Initiate and maintain a continuous improvement culture.
Supervise an effective sales and operations planning (S&OP) process for the site.
Implement year plans including the incorporated efficiency and margin targets including staffing changes, implementation and enforcement of working procedures and safety instructions.
Develop and maintain a sustainable customer portfolio with relevant pricing and profitability structure and reporting.
Define, supervise and implement the multiple year investment plan for the site.
Maintain good working relationships with employee representation.
Supervise site (financial) reporting, HR and IT activities.
Overall P&L responsibility for the organization.
Represent the company towards authorities, interest groups and suppliers.
Implement investments after approval of the yearly budget and expenditures.
Represent the company toward authorities, interest groups and suppliers and to enter into (legal) obligation within documented proxies.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Masters degree in mechanical engineering and or food science

7-10 years
Qualifications:

??? Experience in a similar role in food manufacturing and BTB commercial organization.
??? Management and leadership experience.
??? Previous experience with working in an international environment.
??? People oriented, flexible, analytical thinking, decisive, hands on and resilient.
Skills:
??? Good communications, social and coaching skills.
??? Good knowledge of quality management systems and (food) safety principles.
??? Relevant commercial experience
??? Experience in using ERP systems and automation of working processes.
??? Knowledge of business economics and financial principles and reporting.
??? Good verbal and writing skills in English.
??? Computer literate utilizing Microsoft Office/Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
