The Cabinet Maker assists in all areas of Cabinet Building, Door Building, Countertop Building, Cabinet Finishing, and Cabinet Installation with a high-quality custom cabinet manufacturer with the top priories being Safety, Quality and Timeliness. This is a small team so everyone is expected to assist in other departments when the schedule requires to ensure that jobs are completed on time and moving between departments.

Responsibilities:
Cabinet Building
Load materials onto Beam Saw and run programs
Load materials onto CNC and run programs
Edge band materials as needed
Dowel cabinet parts
Build cabinet boxes
Build drawer boxes
Screw cabinets together
Prepare misc parts including kick, fills, build-up, crown and other misc. items
Apply build-up, moldings, kick & odd island backs
Build fireplace mantels and hood vent cabinets
Build unique cabinets/furniture
Quality checks
Door Building
Glue ups for panels
Cut and shape stiles & rails
Build doors
Sand doors
Determine glass door sizes & fill out Glass Order Form if needed
Quality checks
Countertop Building
Figure and verify countertop sizes
Make countertops according to plan using wood, laminate and bevel edge
Quality checks
Unload Armar truck
Cabinet Finishing
Verify all items for job are in the back room and ready to finish
Make stain matches and verify all stain colors
Tape off counters and cabinets as needed
Stain doors, cabinets, counters and all other pieces
Set up and shut down booths and guns
Seal, sand and finish doors, cabinets, counters and all other pieces
Color putty joints & nail holes after sealing and before sanding
Clean out cabinets
Fit-out cabinets ??? glides, shelf pegs, handles, etc
Glue in glass
Quality checks
At end of day, all stain rags in fire resistant garbage can, all open containers properly sealed, and flammable cabinet doors closed
Cabinet Installing
Load & unload cabinets from truck
Install cabinets
Fill out Installation Report and give to Production Manager
Leave at job site: Tent Card, Hinge Adjustments, Counter Inspection form
Communicate with customer and clean up job site
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:40 PM
Skills:
Trade school diploma/certification desired, but not required
Two years general carpentry experience desired, but not required
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Able to pass pre-employment screening including a Dug Screen
Experience and ability to perform essential duties independently and satisfactorily.
Able to communicate effectively both orally and written form and interface with all departments.
Able to follow direction
Must possess attention to detail
Hold high standard of quality
Able to lift equipment or products up to 75lbs
Experience with operating hand and power tools
PAY RANGE: $19-$25/HR DOE
HOURS: 6:00am to 4:40pm M-TH, 6am-noon FRI. 46 hrs/WK
EARLY OFF FRIDAY!
OVERTIME: required M-F.
