- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems throughout the manufacturing facility.- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, identifying and resolving potential issues before they lead to system failures.- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair any HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical components.- Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and local/state regulations.- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to schedule and complete repairs or upgrades as needed.- Monitor and control the facility's environmental systems to maintain proper temperature and air quality for both personnel and equipment.- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work performed on HVAC systems, including parts used and work hours.- Respond to emergency HVAC issues, ensuring the safety and comfort of employees and the smooth operation of production.- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
1-4 years
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to work under pressure to resolve issues quickly.- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC systems.- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or technical certification in HVAC systems required.- Valid HVAC Technician certification and licensing (EPA certification is required).- 3+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, cooling towers, and boilers.
