Responsibilities:1. Manufactures product to customer and industry standards and specifications.2. Inspects MTE?s for accuracy prior to each shift and as necessary whenmaintaining close tolerances or any event such as rough handling raisesconcern.3. Confers with the Programmer, Manufacturing Manager, and the Lead Machinistin determining the kind of tooling and equipment needed to do a job4. Ensures preparations are made prior to starting set-up operations on the ?next?job.5. Observes and monitors gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure themachine is working properly.6. Fits and assembles parts to make or repair machine tools.7. Performs routine maintenance and inspections on machines and equipment.8. Assist in the design of fixtures and tooling to meet special needs.9. Performs set-up and operation of metalworking and cutting equipment.10. Effectively communicates with management, providing updates on run times,scheduling, and all machine related activities.11. Inspects equipment, structures, tooling, fixtures, processes, and material todetermine the cause of errors or other problems and defects.12. Handles and moves objects and materials with forklift and cranes.13. Sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, magnets, vices, tools,attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicatingvices and tramming heads.14. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, includingturning, facing, knurling, and threading operations15. Takes measurements, detects malfunctions, troubleshoots processes, adjustsand reprograms controls, sharpens and replaces worn tools.16. Machines parts to specification, measuring testing or examining in-processproduct for defects to ensure conformance using precision instruments likemicrometers.17. Aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, ormaterials onto the machines.18. Monitors the feed speed of machines during machining process.19. Confers with the Programmer and Lead Machinist to check and ensure that newprograms or machinery will function properly so that output will meetspecifications.20. Calculate dimensions or tolerances using MTE?s.21. Set up, adjust, and operate basic or specialized machine tools used to performprecision machining operations.22. Diagnoses machine tool malfunctions to define need for adjustments or repairs.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Formal training in programming and operating CNC machines preferred.Minimum 2 year experience operating CNC machines preferred.5 Axis machining experience preferred.Effective writing and communication skillsCapable of managing and completing multiple tasks accurately and expeditiouslyDetail-orientedClose attention to accuracy
