Sets up and operates CNC machine to produce machined parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. Controls product quality during production runs using precision measurement tools. Responsibilities:
Program CNC to specific operation (knowledge of operation of CNC may be obtained through on?the?job training or vocational education)
Select appropriate tooling for each job application
Read and interpret blueprints
Use precision measurement tools including height gauge, micrometers, calipers, and pins gauges
Perform dimensional checks of parts using precision measurement tools
Make CNC program corrections as necessary
Troubleshoot setup and production issues in a timely manner
Measure parts to ensure they are within the allowed tolerances and offset the machine as needed
Perform first piece and in?process quality checks
Responsibility for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation, and disposition of non?conforming products, services, or systems
All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross?trained as necessary
Troubleshoots equipment with CNC operating systems

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Associated degree preferred, not required.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
