Commercial Loan Manger is responsible for management and oversight of the Commercial lending department by directing and evaluating lenders, analysts and assistant(s). Originate and oversee origination of commercial loans; manage and maintain commercial loan relationships with members. Maintain alignment of Commercial Lending practices with larger organizational strategies and goals, while simultaneously ensuring adherence to State and Federal mandated regulations.Responsibilities:-Direct day-to-day operations in the Commercial Loan department.-Pursue commercial lending opportunities within the community, including analyzing potential loan markets and developing referral networks. -Maintain knowledge of loan programs (both State and Federal) including but not limited to SBA, RD, MBOI, MOFI and MWED. -Carry out strategic initiatives pertaining to commercial loan policies and practices, as required and directed by the Commercial Credit Officer.-Review and approve commercial loans within designated lending and approval authority. -Effectively communicate relevant commercial lending-related information to Commercial Credit Officer.-Implement commercial loan department programs, procedures and goals to improve productivity.-Oversee and ensure follow through and consistency in the commercial loan origination process. -Proactively identify credit problems to minimize loss.-Determine proactive solutions to commercial lending issues and problems.-Serve as an organizational role model, both on and off facility premises.-Serve as the primary liaison between the commercial lending department and other departments.-Staff, motivate, supervise and manage Commercial Loan Officers, Credit Analysts and Commercial Loan Assistant(s). -Hold supervised employees accountable to their job descriptions and provide the necessary training and resources required to meet those expectations.-Model, ensure and reinforce a team-oriented approach to meeting goals within the commercial loan department.-Maintain a positive and mentoring relationship with all supervised employees.-Communicate with the Commercial Credit Officer for any issues with loan pricing and loan structures.-Adhere to financial lending metrics and policies as defined by the Commercial Credit Officer, Chief Lending Officer, Loan Committee and/or the Board of Directors. -Responsible for maintenance, refinement and development of loan operating systems. (currently Credit Quest)-Handle personnel issues directly; use appropriate discretion and respect for all involved.-Address all member loan issues or complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.-Assist in development of loan production goals and the departmental budget. -Ensure the commercial loan department is prepared for all internal and external examinations and audits and assist in gathering the required items and information. -Comply with all BSA requirementsWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:-Ability and willingness to implement commercial lending goals.-Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.-Strong analytical and organizational skills. -Working knowledge of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Montana Credit Union Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), NCUA regulations, Appraisal regulations and all other regulations applicable to commercial lending. -Ability to manage time, resources and personnel.-Working knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training and performance evaluation.-Ability to prioritize work and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.-Ability to establish a departmental schedule to ensure adequate staffing.-Ability to obtain additional professional training and/or certifications..Education:BachelorsExperience:7-10 yearsQualifications:-Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.-Comprehensive knowledge of commercial loan processes and regulations required.-8-10 years of professional experience in commercial lending required.-2-3 years of supervisory experience in a commercial loan environment preferred but not required.-Prior experience using Credit Quest preferred. -Ability to be bonded Apply online today at www.spherion.com/kalispellCompany offers a great benefit packet!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
