Make sure tile is the correct material and color2. Visually monitor all tile being made3. Check that the tile is good quality (surface, color, thickness, wetness, etc.)4. Make sure the blades are making clean cuts on tile ends and side trim5. Check/adjust that nail holes are deep enough6. Pull tile from wet line to quality check7. Notify QA of quality problems or questions8. Remove any reject tile, recycle and place mold on dry line9. Constantly monitor hopper to prevent build-up10. Bang the sides, shake or poke through build-up in hopper11. Monitor raw materials mixing system belts for alignment and wear12. Check molds coming in the tile machine from the in feed line to ensure they are clean and undamaged; stop line if needed13. Ensure that molds are being properly sprayed and covered by oil; adjust if needed14. Monitor recycler belt15. Watch liquid gauges16. Monitor and clean the cut-off system and recycle material17. Listen for potential and real problems with the machine18. Complete the TMO check sheets19. Notify supervisor and/or mechanic of any problemsWorking hours: 4:00 AM - 4:00 PMSkills:REQUIREMENTS: Must be on time each day as scheduled. Must be in appropriate uniform. Must be capable ofperceiving and understanding, above ambient noise and light levels, the production line starting alarm and forklifthorns/reverse alarms.Safety:1. Must wear hard hat, safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times2. Wear ear plugs, back brace and gloves when necessary3. Know all safety procedures for the tile machine4. Attend all safety training (and the once a month meetings)5. Must address safety issues at work station immediately to supervisor6. Must have full knowledge of safety lockout procedures7. Must report accidents and injuries immediately to management8. Must follow all safety requirements and training at all times9. Must follow lockout procedures on any cleaning or work done on the machineryPhysical Requirements: Must be able to perform the following physical requirements1. If required, work 6 days per workweek; 8 hour days with overtime2. Occasionally lift and pull 20 to 30 pounds using both hands (power grasping)3. Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds (i.e., cement bag, thicknesser and bar)4. Occasionally (up to 3 hours) required to sit, walk, stand and bend5.
