Spherion is partnering with a Columbia-based Tier 1 automotive manufacturer in search of a Continuous Improvement Engineer. Responsibilities:

- Identify, facilitate and lead process improvement projects, training/workshops, and methods of cultural change
- Identify opportunities for improvement and define issues. Considers current procedure, measurement performance, and return on investment.
- Propose solutions in support of management and production. Help to determine corrective measures, define project needs, and perform follow-ups
- Develop, maintain, and analyze Shop Floor performance indicators/evaluations, 5s program, safety, PlanDoCheckAct problem solving, and determine root cause analysis, fix actions, and or future improvements
- Works closely with line leaders and operators to help assist in developing efficient work practices, poke yoke opportunities, and all other waste eliminating actions
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, problem solving, and analytical skill
- Strong leadership, with the ability to teach and learn
- Able to weigh and manage priorities, multi-task
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Visio
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
