Key focus areas for the position include assurance of timely, accurate, and useful financial reporting and adherence to relevant governmental regulations and contractual terms such as Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR 31), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and all other pertinent government contract terms.
Responsibilities:
-Maintaining a DCAA Compliant accounting system and preparing Incurred Cost Submissions for DCAA submission, also acting as a liaison with DCAA Office
-Implementing perfected internal process and controls to eliminate risk
-Responsible for project setup and proper revenue recognition for multiple contract types
-Prepare Incurred Cost Submission on a timely basis to be submitted to DCAA
-Support preparation of invoices and supporting schedules as required by the government clients
-Reconcile unbilled receivables on a monthly basis
-Maintain and manage fixed assets
-Support all accounting operations, including accounts receivable/billing, collections, accounts payable, financial reporting and analysis, policy and procedures, and GAAP, FAR, compliance
-Perform secondary review of expense report accounts payable vouchers ensuring FAR compliance
-Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results
-Responsible for preparing timely and accurate internal and external financial statements, including preparation of consolidation
-Maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements and budgets
-Assess current accounting operations including internal control systems, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
-Support month-end and annual general ledger close process
-Support year-end financial audit process, including interaction/correspondence with external auditors
-Support Quarterly and Annual SEC audit
-Assist with document preparation and processing required for regulatory reporting
-Treat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
--Ability to perform data extraction and manipulation, analyze financial data, and generate reports.
--Ability to analyze variances to budgets/forecasts/accruals, explain to management, and create corrective action plans.
--Ability to work with numbers and complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
--Ability to manipulate, interpret and analyze data in Excel.

Experience:
7-10 years
Qualifications:
-Bachelors' Degree in Accounting/Finance. Master???s Degree in Accounting and Finance preferred.
-Five (5) years' experience in a supervisory or manager role.
-Three (3) years' experience as an accounting manager, staff, or corporate accountant in contract manufacturing environment.
-CPA required.
-Experience working with the accounting systems Deltek Costpoint or SAP with extensive experience & understanding of DCAA compliance
-Proficient in QuickBooks or similar
