The Corporate Production Planner will provide production planning guidance and direction to Customer Service, Logistics, and Production Planning while managing shipments for one or multiple plants, operating in a manner that helps maximize profitability and production efficiency.
Annual Pay: $55k - $65k

Responsibilities:

- Maintains a working knowledge of production line capabilities and limitations within the production process and ensures scheduling conflicts are held to a minimum.
- Recognizes and addresses quality and service-related issues, assist with quality check orders per Sales and Customer Service and/or Quality requests.
- Reviews truckload/LTL report to ensure truckload goals are met
- Serves as primary point of contact for Customer Service on expedited requests, updates on sales orders, alternate products, and out of region shipment upcharges, evaluates priorities of requests and determines production and shipping schedules for priority requests.
- Reviews production schedules and overall sales data for each plant to optimize production timelines and profitability
- Trains and offers guidance to Regional Scheduling Coordinators related to schedule dilemmas and communicates issues to key stakeholders
- Coordinates directly with customer service, production planning, logistics and other departments as needed regarding the movement of sales orders between plants, out of region shipment requests, expedited sales requests or other issues that might require scheduling adjustments.
- Collaborate with Director of Customer Service to ensure efficient processes are maintained for maximizing efficiency and productivity
- Work closely with the Logistics department regarding how to strategically service out of region sales orders
- Assist with evaluating, implementing and understanding new ERP systems or related software and train others as needed
- Fill-in for Regional Planners as needed
- Provides support to Production Planning Manager, Director of Logistics and other departments as needed or instructed by management.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Bachelor's in supply chain management, logistics or related preferred
- Previous experience in the plastics industry is a plus
- From 1 to 2 years of experience gained through increased management positions within discipline, preferred
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Previous Planner experience is required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
