2. Uses computer aided dispatch system to take smoke management information to ensure burner is within smoke management guidelines. Processes
and records this information.
3. Provides two-way radio contact between firefighters, field personnel, and the Dispatch Center.
4. Performs dispatch and other related duties on daily task lists as assigned in support of the agency's mission and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
This position works a minimum of 29 hours per week, on a rotating schedule to include weekends and holidays.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to operate computer-aided dispatch system. Ability to operate two-way radio and telephone communication equipment. Ability to perform required functions
under pressure. Familiarization with keyboard and mouse and basic computer operations. Working knowledge of the smoke management program.
Education:
High School
Experience:
0-1 years
Qualifications:
A high school diploma and experience in one of the following areas: communications, switchboard exchange operations, clerical accounting, billing or
working with the general public.
