-Provide engineering and project management requirements for engineers maintaining and improving generation facilities-Create and develop concepts, plans and specifications for proper design, construction, and operation of new and existing plant equipment or other assigned projects-Manage projects by working directly with scheduling, purchasing, and contractors to ensure accurate, economic, and timely completion-Investigate and evaluate equipment failures and minor system changes to maintenance and operational procedures and practices to achieve optimum system and equipment performance-Provide technical support services, including researching specific requirements, preparing cost estimates, contributing to design decisions, determining procedures for obtaining qualified contractors and awarding contracts, obtaining field measurements, and performing calculations as needed to support engineering activities-Assist with equipment inspections during unity outages to provide analysis and technical assessments-Perform work involving complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures in order to develop new or refined equipment, materials, process, products, or methods-Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others to maintain engineering quality assurances and controls -Complete detailed planning of project needs and outage maintenance for up to one year in the future and general planning of programs implementation for up to five years in the future which supports company mission and vision-Provide project management on complex modification projects requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques in order to monitor and control project expenditures against the established budget and to prepare and maintain schedules-Perform work involving a number of projects of major scope and importance -Study new scientific methods and developments affecting the organization-Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, procedures, laws and regulations
